Machen Manufacturing Ltd. was originally founded by the late Ryan Johnson in 1983 and has been operating within the custom manufacturing, automotive, and machine sales industries ever since. Ryan was a machinist and jack of all trades with a mind for custom design and a passion for fast German cars, and he led Machen as the sole owner and operator until his death in 2020. He was well known for his commitment to quality, tireless work ethic, and straightforward & honest approach to business and relationships. Ryan’s children Sarah & Nate Johnson took over running the business in 2022, adding managing partner Trevor Stitt in 2025, and the management team continues to retain the values in Machen that Ryan lived and breathed both personally and professionally.

We now specialize in custom machinery primarily for sawmill optimization, and have the capacity to custom-build industry agnostic machinery and equipment from start to finish including research & development, design & drafting, welding & fabrication, machining, painting, and pneumatic & other component assembly.
